Yee-Hah! Jeff Griffith To Entertain Guests At 5th Annual Hootenanny: Dancing For OUR Stars Event Benefiting Kinetic Kids On Thursday, November 13
Nashville, TN (October 13, 2008) - Jeff Griffith will entertain guests at the 5th Annual Hootenanny: Dancing For OUR Stars on Thursday, November 13. Sponsored this year by Pioneer Drilling and held at Pearl Stable, the event is the primary fundraising endeavor for Kinetic Kids, the San Antonio-based organization founded in 2001 to enrich the lives of children with both physical and cognitive disabilities through sports and recreation activities. Since its inception, the "Hoot' has generated over $115,000 in donations, and the organization has served nearly 3000 kids. This year's entertainment includes dinner, dancing, an auction and the music of country traditionalist, Jeff Griffith. Trisha Walker-Cunningham Receives Award Of Merit From Tennessee Governor, Phil Bredesen
Jo Walker-Meador Makes Surprise Presentation
Nashville, TN (October 9, 2008) -- Jo Walker-Meador, former Executive Director of the CMA surprised Trisha Walker-Cunningham recently with an Award of Merit from Tennessee Governor, Phil Bredesen. The honor comes in recognition of Trisha’s “30 years of faithful service to Country Music in the best interests and in the highest traditions of the State of Tennessee."
During her distinguished career in Nashville, Trisha has excelled as a talent buyer, publicist, manager, tour manager and consultant. She has worked for (and with) major record labels, promoters, talent agencies and radio and television (producing shows, international specials and EPKs). In addition, Walker-Cunningham has served as an industry seminar panelist and appeared on numerous TV shows.
Trisha says, "My work in Nashville has been extremely diverse these past 30 years, so I cannot take full credit for this award. I want to share it with Jo Walker-Meador, the CMA and all the wonderful and talented people in every facet of the industry who believe in me.”
The British-born Walker-Cunningham has taken more than 300 artists overseas for Festival and tour appearances. For the past 20 years, she has exclusively represented Marcel Bach and the Gstaad Festival (Switzerland), and Georges Carrier and the Craponne Festival (France) for 21, both since their inception. She was the first recipient of the CMA’s Jo Walker-Meador International Achievement Award, was named the organization’s International Talent Buyer/Promoter of the Year in 2007 and January 5, 1989 is Trisha Walker Day in the Nashville history books.

NASHVILLE, TN (Oct. 6, 2008) – Earlier this year, the Air Guard named Equity Music Group’s Laura Bryna spokesperson for their new branding and marketing campaign, featuring the Nashville-based recording artist in national print, television and radio spots. The first national TV ad featuring Bryna and the song she co-wrote will debut Monday during ESPN’s broadcast of Monday Night Football (Minnesota at New Orleans, 8:30 p.m. EDT).
The commercial features Bryna and her current single, “Hometown Heroes,” which has been adopted by the Air Guard for their campaign. The song is featured as a new track on the re-release of Bryna’s current album, TRYING TO BE ME, and is currently in rotation at Country radio.
Monday Night Football on ESPN has averaged between 12-18 million viewers per game this fall. It’s been cable television’s top rated program this season.
The 30 second spots for the Air Guard will run for four weeks on a number of highly rated cable network programs. Networks include the three ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPNEWS), E!, MTV, GAC, CMT, TNT, TBS, True TV, Adult Swim and G4. Some of the shows include Pro and College football games, NASCAR Now, First Take and Sports Center (ESPN); NBA games on TNT, and various music programs such as Top 20 Countdown (CMT and GAC), CMT Insider, Opry Live and TRL (MTV).
