TX Turbo-Twang'd ZANE LEWIS Takes 24-Hour Run @ CMA Music Festival- LIVE on Hard Rock Outdoor Stage

Texas Turbo-Twang'd Zane Lewis Takes 24-Hour Run At CMA Music Festival 2008

Makes Debut Performance June 7 On Hard Rock Outdoor Stage

Nashville, TN (May 31, 2008) - Texas Turbo - Twang'd Zane Lewis takes a 24-hour run at this year's CMA Music Festival, landing a primo spot on the Hard Rock Outdoor Stage (Fun Zone - June 7, 12:10 p.m.), and an entry in New Holland/Michael Peterson Celebrity Tractor Race (Chevy Sports Zone - June 8, 12noon). Zane will be rockin’ through the truTV FAN FAIR ®HALL at the Convention Center, meeting and greeting plenty of fans at the Vault (Energy Drink), Digital Rodeo and Outdoor Channel booths.

"I am pumped," says the high-energy Lewis, who is featured in the current issue of Country Weekly magazine. "Being a part of 'Music Fest’ is something I've dreamed about a long time. I can't wait to hit the stage and starting making some new friends!" Zane should be a perfect fit for the fun-filled Festival; he's been burnin' up the Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas honky tonk circuit since the March release of his sophomore CD, ZANE LEWIS. He'll land in Nashville (with his "kick-a** seven-piece country band") fired up and fresh from Freedom Fest 2008 (Abilene), and sharing the bill with Pat Green and Reckless Kelly. No stranger to large crowds, Lewis has headlined the Chevy Main Stage at the State Fair of Texas the last three years and the Grapevine Festival's Hummer Main Stage in 2006.

NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS SONYA KELLY AND REGIE HAMM JOIN FORCES WITH THE FIRST TEE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 30, 2008

NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS SONYA KELLY AND REGIE HAMM JOIN FORCES WITH THE FIRST TEE

“As Far As Your Dreams” Inspires Youth To Believe In Life’s Possibilities

NASHVILLE, TNSongwriter Sonya Kelly is beginning to see success with major music industry cuts and film placements. And now, her most recent song success may have her taking- up the game of golf. When Sonya’s managers Tom Rutledge and Ed Nash (Rutledge Nash & Associates) approached her about writing a song for The First Tee organization’s 10th anniversary, she thought, “Sure. Why not?”

The First Tee, an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in St. Augustine, FL at World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Its mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee has introduced the game of golf and its values to more than 2.2 million participants and students in 48 states and four international locations – Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and Singapore. Former President George Bush serves as honorary chairman.

For Sonya Kelly, the mission of The First Tee reflected the way she was raised. “When I was asked to write this song,” Sonya explains, “I read their mission statement and it really struck a chord. I was lucky to grow up with parents who never used the word ‘can’t’ -- instead, it was always ‘why not?’ So I understand the importance of goals and dreams first-hand, and I think it’s important that we instill that in our children for the future. I was raised with the same value system and life philosophy that The First Tee is helping to instill, and that was the driving force and creative inspiration for this song.”

Every year, The First Tee selects young people from all over the country to travel to a specific city and take part in their week-long life skills and leadership academy. This past summer was the third time in five years that the academy was hosted by Golf House Tennessee and lead by Steve Merrill, Senior Vice President of The Tennessee Golf Foundation. Steve wanted to give The First Tee participants an experience unique to Nashville and Ed Nash decided to make the experience a truly memorable one. “We started off with the simple idea of having the kids tour a Nashville recording studio and sing to a track of an already existing song,” Nash says. “But after more brainstorming, I knew we can do something more.”

Then Sonya brought the song she’d written, As Far As Your Dreams, to Rutledge and Nash, who in turn shared it with Steve Merrill. "I had tears in my eyes on the first listen,” states Merrill. “Sonya captured the meaning and endgame of The First Tee -- by using the life skills learned as a participant, dreams can become reality.

The next step for Sonya, Rutledge and Nash was to find the right singer and producer. Sonya knew the song was right for Regie Hamm, a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer and recent winner of the 2nd annual AMERICAN IDOL Songwriting Competition with his solo-written song, “The Time Of My Life,” which is already a run-a-way hit for newly crowned Season 7 winner, David Cook. “I always had Regie Hamm in mind to sing this song,” Sonya says. “I knew it needed to be uplifting, and I am huge fan of his -- as an artist, songwriter and producer.” Hamm, the father of two adopted children, is also managed by Rutledge Nash & Associates. When the managers approached Hamm, who had never previously recorded a song he hadn’t written, he listened to the demo of As Far As Your Dreams and gladly accepted. “I'm always excited to work with organizations that help kids and make their lives better,” Hamm states. “The First Tee helps kids develop the skills they need to navigate a sometimes difficult world. If you have that kind of support team behind you, anything you want in life truly is ‘only as far as your dreams ...’.”

The First Tee Nashville academy participants sang background vocals on the recording and PGA TOUR Productions were on-hand to film a music video. The video and song will be distributed to The First Tee Chapters in the United States and their international locations and plans are underway to incorporate “As Far As Your Dreams” into many of The First Tee awareness efforts.

Joe Louis Barrow, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of The First Tee, states, “Thanks to Regie Hamm, Sonya Kelly, the Sound Kitchen and The First Tee of Nashville, the academy participants had the chance to see first-hand how the music industry creates a song -- from conception through production. This is a terrific example of how The First Tee works with the community and its partners to create educational opportunities that inspire young people to reach their potential on and off the golf course. The song will serve as a fund-raising tool for our Chapters and help generate enthusiasm for our mission.”

The Nine Core Values of the First Tee are honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, responsibility and judgment; combine these nine values with Kelly’s songwriting ability and As Far As Your Dreams becomes a positive statement for young people to live by, on and off the course.

AIR GUARD TAPS EQUITY RECORDING ARTIST LAURA BRYNA FOR AD CAMPAIGN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Country Music Artist Laura Bryna To Be

The New Voice of Air Guard Advertising Campaign

NASHVILLE,TN (May 14, 2008) – Following an extensive search, Nashville country music recording artist Laura Bryna has been chosen as the voice of the new, multifaceted advertising campaign for the Air Guard.

The Air Guard (www.goang.com) is a branch of the military that has a state and federal mission to actively support the needs of the country and the nation’s homeland defense. There are currently over 140 Air Guard bases in the United States.

As part of Bryna’s involvement with the Air Guard, she will record a special song called "Hometown Heroes", which will be used in the campaign. Bryna will also be featured in an accompanying music video, appear in print ads and perform at a series of concerts throughout the summer.

Bryna was selected after the Air Guard conducted an exhaustive search for a voice and personality they felt would translate well to what their branding goals are. An Air Guard representative saw Bryna perform songs from her new CD, “Trying To Be Me”, at a CD launch event in January.

“We are delighted to have Laura Bryna on our team,” said Lt. Colonel Randy Johnson, Director of Recruiting and Retention for the Air Guard. “Her tremendous energy and her willingness to do what it takes to get things done exemplify the Air Guard Warrior spirit. It’s a real privilege to work with her and we are excited to have Laura, Equity Records and her team as part of the Air Guard’s advertising campaign.”

“I’m so honored that the Air Guard has chosen me to represent them,” said Bryna. “Like any good citizen, I want to do my part in serving our country and can’t think of a better way than by helping to spread the good word and good works of the Air Guard. I have the utmost respect for the men and women who serve our country. If I can play a part in helping bring awareness and support to their mission, then I’ve done my job.”

A special kickoff concert for the campaign will be held early this summer in Washington, DC. The new song, “Hometown Heroes”, will be added to Bryna’s recently released debut album, “Trying To Be Me", as part of a second printing.

Bryna has been a longtime supporter of the men and women in uniform, and speaks often of their sacrifices when performing live. Her involvement with this new campaign affords her the opportunity to truly showcase that support.

“Equity Music Group and I are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful endeavor,” said Roger Sarchet, manager for Bryna and producer of her new CD. “We feel it’s mutually beneficial for both parties and we’re excited to be a part of the Air Guard’s campaign to bring more awareness to all the good they do when people need them most.”

[PR] DAWN RECORDS INTRODUCES "SLOW RAIN" FROM RHONDA TOWNS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DAWN RECORDS INTRODUCES
DOBIE GRAY'S "Slow Rain"
FROM RHONDA TOWNS

NASHVILLE, TN (May 22, 2008)-Dawn Records announces the release of "Slow Rain" * from its flagship artist Rhonda Towns. The radio single (written by Dobie Gray, Ricky Ray Rector and Bud Reneau) is the third national release from Towns' debut country CD entitled I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU produced by Harold Shedd (Reba McEntire/Shania Twain/Alabama/ Toby Keith), Norro Wilson (Kenny Chesney/Reba McEntire/Sara Evans/Shania Twain/Tammy Wynette/George Jones) and Jim Cotton (Billy Ray Cyrus /Montgomery Gentry/Alabama).

"When we recorded ‘Slow Rain,' it was a little out of the box from what we were trying to accomplish, but, we did it anyway," said producer Norro Wilson. "...and like a lot of records, sometimes a little magic hits the ears-that's what happened here and we loved it. Even after this bit of time, it still sounds good. Good release, good idea and good job, Rhonda. Rhonda Towns has the looks, great communication qualities and more love for the business than anyone I know. She's not going to give up!"

The single is timeless, traditional country and was released "by request." "I've really been concentrating on my next project and we had no set plans to officially release another single from this album," Rhonda introduced. "I received a call from the MD of a radio station in Sparta, North Carolina who told me that a listener requested ‘Slow Rain.' So, I asked him to test this song for me. The response was positive and very encouraging. ‘Slow Rain' is one of the first songs I recorded with producer Norro Wilson when I started coming to Nashville."

Rhonda has already received early applause:

"With a hard row to hoe, in this world we call the music business, I admire Rhonda's tenacity and applaud her pursuit. She has faith in this song and, as a writer, I can tell you, she 'delivers' it. At the risk of making comparisons, her style reminds me a lot of one of my all-time favorite country artists, John Anderson."
--Dobie Gray/"Drift Away"

"Rhonda has a magical sound reminiscent of days gone by when Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette brought the women of country music to the forefront of a male dominated industry. Rhonda broke ground for women of color with the release of 'Somethin' Better' & 'I Wanna Be Loved By You' and her current single, ‘Slow Rain,' will draw strong play requests from our listeners in Minnesota & Iowa on U-S Country 99.9!"
--Scott Soderberg, OM/PD, KAUS-99.9FM, Austin, MN

"Rhonda Towns is beautiful, soulful, country, magical, and full of heart. From I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU comes ‘Slow Rain,' a single no one could have re-recorded to breathe new life into it like Rhonda has. It's a moving, inspiring, true country single from one of my favorite indie artists in the business. Rhonda brings back the authentic country sound that radio has been missing for many, many years. She gives it her all to highlight her country roots! One listen and you'll be hooked!"
--Michael Sexton, Music Director, WCOK Radio, Sparta, NC

Rhonda has been seen in CMA Close-Up, Country Weekly, Billboard and Maverick and graced the covers of Power Source and Indie Islands magazines. A professional on the performing stage, in front of a camera and on the runway, Rhonda has appeared on National television (GAC/CMT), in television commercials for Maxwell House, Toyota and Bounce, and in print advertisements for Dillard's, K-Mart and designers Lori Weidner (Canada) and Sandra Salcedo (Texas). She is also a regular model for REBAwear and Dillard's and has modeled for Manuel and Fashion For Every Body. She is currently working with producer Biff Watson (Emma Mae Jacob/Hilljack) on her sophomore recording project.

Rhonda made her initial country radio introduction with "I Wanna Be Loved By You" in 2005. "Slow Rain"* is scheduled to be released this month (CDX Vol. 448). Jerry Duncan Promotions (Nashville, TN) will head-up the radio promotion campaign.

MORE ON FOURTH AND GOAL
Fourth and Goal has an a three-part initiative: 1) to secure funds for retired players in immediate need, 2) to reform, improve and update the pension plan system currently in place and 3) to garner representation for retired players by the NFL Player’s Association to insure the retired players will get the care they need.

A community of NFL players, Fourth and Goal works diligently to raise public awareness surrounding these issues by conducting informational media interviews and working in cooperation with other like-minded organizations to improve the lives of retired players who worked to make the league what it is today.

The organization’s charge included the formation of the 88 Plan (named after ex-Colt, John Mackey). The 88 Plan benefits retired players who, like Mackey, suffer from dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Through its fund-raising efforts to date, Fourth and Goal has come to the aid of Larry Morris (formerly of the Chicago Bears and MVP of the 1963 NFL championship game) who now suffers from dementia • Wayne Hawkins (Oakland Raiders) who suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia • Brent Boyd, who, after a 6-year career with the Minnesota Vikings, suffers from severe football-related illnesses • Suzie Heywood, whose late husband Ralph Heywood (the only NFL player to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces in three wars--World War II, Korea and Vietnam) passed away due to complications from Alzheimer’s in April 2007. (Mrs. Heywood sold the couple’s ranch and possessions and moved into a horse trailer in order to afford the care her husband needed.) • Syndi Shy, widow of Don Shy. Don was the first-round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1967. During his seven-year NFL career, he played for the Steelers, the Chicago Bears, the St. Louis Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints. Don died from brain tumors in October 2006 at the of age 61.

Maxie Baughan, Joe DeLamielleure, John Hannah, Sam Havrilak, Sam Huff, Bruce Laird, Mercury Morris, Jim Mutscheller, Jeff Nixon and Charlie Waters serve on Fourth and Goal’s Board of Directors.

AMERICAN IDOL SONGWRITER REGIE HAMM HAVING "THE TIME OF MY LIFE" AT SEASON FINALE SHOW

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 21, 2008

REGIE HAMM WINS AMERICAN IDOL SONGWRITING COMPETITION!

Hamm Having “The Time Of My Life” At Season Finale Show

(Los Angeles, CA)…Nashville’s Regie Hamm is the winner of the 2nd annual AMERICAN IDOL Songwriting Competition with his solo-written song, “The Time Of My Life.” Hamm will be in the audience at tonight’s season finale show (Fox, 8 ET/PT), when “The Time Of My Life” is performed live for millions of viewers by the newly crowned AMERICAN IDOL who will also release it as a single.

For more on Regie Hamm, check out the feature on page 5D in today’s USA Today or click on this link: http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/2008-05-20-idol-songwriter_N.htm

The AMERICAN IDOL Songwriting Competition launches a country-wide search for a song befitting the next American Idol. After thousands of online entrants were narrowed down to the 20 strongest and most suitable songs, the fans listened to the final Top 20 songs and cast their votes -- choosing Regie Hamm’s submission, entitled "The Time Of My Life," as the next AMERICAN IDOL hit single. Last season, over 2 million online votes were cast for the winning song which was performed live on last year’s finale show and went on to become the winner’s first hit single.

Regie Hamm entered the AMERICAN IDOL Songwriting Competition at the encouragement of his wife who is an avid watcher of the show. Two days later, he wrote “The Time Of My Life” and made his submission. "This song is about living in the moment and embracing your blessings, and letting go of bitterness and past pain," Regie says about the song. The son of a traveling preacher and musician, Hamm spent his youth forging a musical identity in the fires of Pentecostal churches, tent revivals and all-night-singings. Regie's music and songwriting are clearly the work of a keen observer of the world who has something to say about it. Combining the beauty, irony, and sometimes even harshness of life, Regie's work has a cinematic quality that leaves the listener with the feeling of an experience they will not soon forget.

Regie Hamm resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Yolanda and their two adopted children. He’s an established producer and singer/songwriter -- but artistry, Regie’s first love, remains his true passion. A brand new, self-produced EP of his unique and captivating brand of contemporary pop, entitled Starlight, will be available shortly through iTunes and at www.regiehamm.com.

George Strait Helps Raise Money for Cowboys

George Strait, Justin Boots® Help Raise over $5.5 Million

for Professional Cowboys

Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund Helps America's Original Extreme Sport's Injured Competitors

FORT WORTH, TX (May 19, 2008) - Justin Boots® - the leader in western footwear and the Official Boots of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association ® (PRCA) - announced today that the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund (JCCF) hit the $5.5 million mark in money raised for professional rodeo athletes since the charity's inception in 1989.

While private donations make up the bulk of money raised for the JCCF, a portion of funds are generated from the George Strait Collection - a line of stylish, high-quality, western footwear from Justin Boots - as a percentage of every boot sale goes straight to the cause. George Strait Collection boot sales brought in a recorded $20,000 for the JCCF in 2007 alone.

"The Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund originated with the idea of supporting and giving back to those who dedicate themselves to a very unique lifestyle," said Tom Feller, director of event marketing for Justin Brands and PRCA Board of Directors member. "Over the years, we've been fortunate that great folks like George Strait support our effort to help stabilize the economic environment of these athletes and their families during their recovery period."

An authentic representation of the style of the West and contributor to the JCCF's latest success, George Strait is also currently enjoying continued success of his own. The King of Country Music's latest album to hit the shelves, "Troubadour," debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Album charts just last month. The star's latest single "I Saw God Today" is Strait's 56th No.1 single.

"Rodeo cowboys are some of the best athletes in the world," said George Strait. "I've spent a lot of years being a small part of the rodeo world and it's a privilege to be able to help raise money and awareness for the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund."

Rodeo athletes - more than in any other professional sport - compete for a pure love of the sport. With every ride, rodeo cowboys and cowgirls face the possibility of serious injury; and with this risk comes the potential for lost financial income or stability for many athletes and their families. In a valued extension of the brand's esteemed commitment to the welfare of the professional rodeo athlete, Justin Boots partnered with the PRCA and the Women's Professional Rodeo Association to form the JCCF.

Additionally, the JCCF is excited to announce a total donation - from private donations and boot sales - of more than $108,000 in the 1st Quarter of 2008 alone, ensuring that the JCCF is well on its way to another successful charitable year in the name of the sport of professional rodeo and the safety of its athletes.

About the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund

Unique among today's numerous charitable organizations, the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund (JCCF) stands above the rest by dedicating 100 percent of all contributions received for disbursement to eligible applicants. This uncommon practice for a charitable organization is made possible by the joint commitment of Justin Brands, Inc., and the PRCA, which underwrite all administrative costs associated with managing the JCCF, leaving all monies received through contributions (and as investment earnings) to serve their intended purpose. For more on the JCCF, visit www.prorodeo.com.

GAC's "MASTER SERIES" SET TO SPONSOR RONNIE MILSAP'S "#1 HITS TOUR"

,
GAC's "MASTER SERIES" SET TO SPONSOR
RONNIE MILSAP'S "#1 HITS TOUR"

GAC's "Master Series" named the official media sponsor for
Ronnie Milsap's 2008 Tour

(Nashville, TN) - Great American Country's (GAC) "Master Series" has joined forces with multi-Grammy winning country and pop music artist, Ronnie Milsap for his 2008 "#1 Hits Tour," booked exclusively by Buddy Lee Attractions.

"It's great news for the fans and myself," says Ronnie. "With GAC partnering with me on this 2008 tour, the fans will not only have the opportunity to see me live but also have access via GAC and their website." Beginning in June and running through the end of the year, GAC will create excitement and exposure for the tour through a "Master Series" media partnership package. The sponsorship will capitalize on a multi-tactical marketing approach providing exposure for Ronnie Milsap's tour utilizing both GAC and GACTV.com.

GAC will utilize its network for on-air mentions and promotions and its website for streaming interviews and features from the tour. GAC's "Master Series" with Bill Cody will mention the tour on-air and shoot in studio or on location from the tour.

"GAC has sponsored many tours but this opportunity allowed us to tie our Master Series show directly to an artist with so many number one hits," says Scott Durand, vice president of marketing for GAC." GAC's Master Series focuses on the great artists and their songs and Ronnie's tour was a perfect fit."

Born into poverty in the Appalachian town of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Ronnie was born blind and shortly after his first birthday, he was cast off and given to his grandmother to raise. Taking refuge in music and radio as a child served Ronnie well as he honed his talents and has become pre-eminent country soul singer of his generation. His first #1 hit came in 1974 with "Pure Love." This was the first of Ronnie's 40 #1 hits. Throughout his career, Ronnie has won 6 Grammy Awards, 4 ACM Awards, 8 CMA Awards and has sold more than 30 million albums.

[PR] MARK CHESNUTT INTRODUCES NEW CD--ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOFTON CREEK RECORDS / BIG 7 RECORDS
INTRODUCES ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW

A Mark Chesnutt Musical Reminicence

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (May 13, 2008)-Lofton Creek Records / Big 7 Records is pleased to introduce ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW from one of country music's finest music stylists, Mark Chesnutt.

Set to be released June 24, 2008, ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW features two Chesnutt co-writes, the return of long-time friend and "Chesnutt hitmaker," Roger Springer
("A Little Too Late"/"Thank God For Believers"), along with some of Nashville's best song crafters including Hank Cochran, Dean Dillon, Mark Nesler, Kerry Kurt Phillips, Tony Stampley and the late Keith Whitley. The product of Jimmy Ritchey [who produced Chesnutt's last two albums SAVIN' THE HONKY TONK/ HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG], the CD is true-blue Mark Chesnutt in musical composition, lyrics and delivery.

"What makes Mark Chesnutt a success is that he's never departed from the music that brought him to the dance in the first place," Lofton Creek's Mike Borchetta introduced. "ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW is filled with musical narratives from personal experiences, classic country ballads and toe-tapping melodies. It's Mark Chesnutt at his best with an invigorating feel...reminiscent of the music that brought him to the forefront as a country music traditionalist and in keeping with the musical trends that make him a mainstay in the format today."

"Mark is singing better than ever. When he comes into the studio, he just ‘sings,'" added producer Jimmy Ritchey. "He's one of the classic voices of our generation who continues to bring a 'breath of fresh air' to country radio. I'm honored to work with him. ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW is a CD I play for my songwriter friends and other recording artists with pride to say ‘now, this is a country record!'"

ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW, shimmers with reflections of Mark's musical influences. "In addition to this being something altogether brand new for me, I wanted to incorporate the sounds of music that I loved growing up," Mark added. "So, before we even recorded a song, Jimmy and I really listened to each and every one to decide whose musical style we might pull from." Filled with overtones from Ray Price, Hank Jr., Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard, ROLLIN' WITH THE FLOW is delivered in quintessential Chesnutt style and a "must-have" for any and all country listeners' music library or iPod.

Carrying the torch in the footsteps of George Jones and Waylon Jennings, Chesnutt plays nearly 100 dates a year. He has four platinum albums, five gold albums, 14 No. 1 singles and 23 Top 10 singles to his name; his trademarked voice has shaped the music of today's country music newcomers and the new country music generation.

The label has just released the second cut from the CD entitled "When You Love Her Like Crazy" (Tony Martin/Mark Nesler).

The Lofton Creek current artist roster includes Mark Chesnutt, Drew Davis Band, Bailey Gray, Donnie Vondra, Pat Roper, Will Peppers, Carmen Rasmussen, Shawn King and more.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DWIGHT YOAKAM MAKES HIS 24TH APPEARANCE ON “THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO” BREAKING THE RECORD FOR MOST MUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY ANY ARTIST DWIGHT YOAKAM KICKS OFF “THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO’S” SEVENTH SEASON OF POPULAR OUTDOOR CONCERTS ON MAY 15

LOS ANGELES, CA – May 9, 2008 -- Dwight Yoakam will kick off "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’s” seventh season of popular outdoor concerts with the “Mercedes-Benz Summer Concert Series” on May 15. This performance will mark Yoakam’s 24th appearance on the NBC show -- breaking the record for most musical performances by any artist.

Yoakam continues to make special appearances in support of his New West CD, “Dwight Sings Buck,” his musical tribute to his late great friend and mentor Buck Owens. He was the only artist who was invited to perform at both of the recent diverse music festivals-- the indie rock Coachella and country music’s Stagecoach. The following are a couple of examples of the critical acclaim that his performances generated:

“I haven’t yet encountered another devoted lovefest like the one Yoakam got this weekend. Every alt-kid, rockabilly survivor, Latina hot-rodder and the rest of Stagecoach’s misfits all came under this tent to pay rowdy respect to a singer-songwriter who’s done as much as any to keep the fangs in modern pop-inclined country…..as long a Yoakam’s in the corner looking surly with a flaskfull of bad intentions, country music will be just fine.

August Brown, Los Angeles Times, May 5, 2008

“Inspired by the Bakersfield sound and bred during L. A.’s punk era, Yoakam has attained grand status, and an overflow crowd screaming loudly as he and his hot, bespangled band ranged through a set of Buck Owens covers and his own chart hits. His jeans fit as tight as they used to, he swiveled his hips with the usual abandon, and his flexible baritone is better than ever…The house was packed with an uncommon mix of old-school honky-tonk fans and newbies drawn to the flame of true primordial country.”

Chris Morris, L. A. City Beat, May 5, 2008

Yoakam will be a presenter on the May 18 Academy Of Country Music Awards emanating from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and broadcast on the CBS Television Network. He will be headlining the last evening of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville on June 8th; this is his first appearance at this event in 20 years.

Dwight is also concentrating on his successful acting career. He has completed the broad comedy role of Pastor Phil for the forthcoming Lionsgate release “Four Christmases” in which he co-stars with Vince Vaughan and Reese Witherspoon. This will be a major holiday release in November. Dwight will be reprieving his role as Doc Miles in the forthcoming sequel to Crank called “Crank: High Voltage” in which he co-stars with Jason Statham and Amy Smart.

As part of the re-launching of his website (www.dwightyoakam.com), in conjunction with his album release, Yoakam debuted The Route 23 Club (www.route23club.com), a new fan club site offering exclusive access to Yoakam content – including news, pictures, video, audio, desktop wallpapers, buddy icons and special "behind the scenes" footage. The site’s "Interact" section includes a members-only discussion board, where fans can communicate with each other, members of Yoakam's management team, and even Yoakam himself. Additionally, the club features exclusive monthly contests with prizes including signed merchandise, tour meet & greets with Yoakam and concert tickets. Yoakam has also launched a new MySpace page (www.myspace.com/dwightyoakam) and Facebook page.

RANDY TRAVIS: “IT WAS A CHALLENGE”
Randy Travis takes on a difficult acting role in the new feature-length DVD movie, The Wager. In this spiritually based film, Randy plays actor Michael Steele, who is nominated for an Oscar when his life begins to unravel after charges of adultery and other transgressions. The actor eventually regains his faith. “The fact that the well-written script covered topics you don’t usually find in a Christian film intrigued me,” Randy tells Country Weekly. “It was a challenge and I learned from doing it.” Randy also has an upcoming new CD, Around the Bend, set for a July release.

JEWEL GETS STRONGER
Jewel currently has a big country hit in “Stronger Woman,” and the singer feels that the video, which evokes historical images, captures the song’s message. “I kept getting treatments that were all about men being no good or unhappy women crying,” Jewel tells Country Weekly. “But to me, that’s not what the song is about at all. A new Canadian music label has been launched, On Ramp Records. Headed by Louis O'Reilly, of O'Reilly International Management and 306 Records fame, the new label will enjoy national distribution through EMI Records Canada.

"The invitation to start a new label within the EMI family was something I couldn't pass up on," commented O'Reilly, the 2007 CCMA Record Company Person of the Year. "EMI has a great team with a strong commitment to the Canadian music scene. They fit in very well with our vision for our company."

The label has seen its first product hit the stores with the April 1st release of Deric Ruttan's First Time In A Long Time album. "We are excited to be involved with the new On Ramp Records initiative," commented Deane Cameron, President of EMI Music Canada. Deric Ruttan Releases New Album

Deric Ruttan AlbumDeric Ruttan, Nashville-based Canadian Country Music recording artist, has released his highly anticipated sophomore album, First Time In A Long Time. Released April 1, 2008, the CD has already chalked-up two top 10 hits: "Good Time (with Dierks Bentley)" and the current single "First Time In A Long Time".

Recorded in Nashville (where Ruttan has made his home for the past decade) and co-produced by Ruttan and Grammy-nominated producer Brett Beavers, the aptly titled First Time In A Long Time is the follow-up to Ruttan’s 2003 self-titled debut (Lyric Street/Universal), which boasted five Top 10 Canadian singles, one #1 video (“When You Come Around”), two Top 5 videos (“Unbeatable”, “Take The Wheel”), garnered “Best Album”, “Male Vocalist”, and “Rising Star” CCMA nominations, and helped to establish Deric Ruttan as a world-class talent.

“I’m just delighted to have Deric as the first artist on the label,” says Louis O’Reilly, president of On Ramp Records. “He’s a proven hit maker, an immensely talented songwriter and a gifted singer.”

First Time In A Long Time features co-writes by Ruttan with fellow-Nashville songwriters Chris DuBois, Jeremy Spillman, Jim and Brett Beavers, as well as noted Canadian songwriters Jimmy Rankin, Chris Thorsteinson and Dave Wasyliw (of Doc Walker), and Stan Lynch (of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers).

A native of Bracebridge, Ontario, Deric moved to Nashville in 1994. He got his Music City break in 1999 and signed a recording contract with Lyric Street Records. Deric’s self-titled debut album Deric Ruttan was released in 2003 and the success of his singles earned him the reputation as a hot young songwriting talent. Ruttan’s songs have been recorded by Dierks Bentley (“What Was I Thinkin’” - #1 Billboard hit; “Lot Of Leavin’ Left To Do” – Radio & Records #2), Aaron Pritchett (“My Way”, “Hold My Beer”), Eric Church, (Top 20 US hit “Guys Like Me”), Gary Allan, Doc Walker, Gil Grand and Paul Brandt. In 2007 Ruttan won the CCMA Award for Songwriter of the Year.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this new album,” says Ruttan. “I can’t wait to get out there on the road and share this new musical chapter of my life with people. I’m also very excited to partner with On Ramp and EMI. I’m humbled to be their flagship artist as they launch this new venture.”

Deric Ruttan Wraps Up Canadian Tour
Deric Ruttan

April has been a busy month for Deric Ruttan! The Nashville-based singer/songwriter recently wrapped up his first-ever cross-Canada headlining tour. “It felt great to be back on the road,” says Ruttan, the reigning CCMA Songwriter of the Year. “To play to such enthusiastic audiences and get such a strong reaction to the new material…and to get to see this beautiful country from the tour bus window – it was a great month.”

In addition to bringing his high-energy 90-minute show to enthusiastic fans across Canada, Ruttan’s First Time In A Long Time tour included media stops at radio, and television in Toronto (Canada AM), Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg (Breakfast TV), Brandon, MB, and Saskatoon (The Noon Show) all to promote First Time In A Long Time.

This summer, Deric’s First Time In A Long Time tour continues on some of Canada’s biggest festival stages, including Dauphin Countryfest and The Calgary Stampede, where he’ll share the bill with friend Dierks Bentley.

Look for CMT Canada to broadcast “The Dakota Sessions – Deric Ruttan”, on Monday, May 26th at 7:PM (EST), with encore airings starting Friday, May 30th at 11:PM (EST). The half-hour show will feature Deric and his band performing a mixture of past favourites and future hits from the new album, amid the hip, casual backdrop of Toronto’s Dakota Tavern.

Zack Werner, Canadian Idol Judge, To Release First Single
Haymaker

Zack Werner, the meaner than mean judge on the hit show Canadian Idol, and his new band Haymaker, are set to release "Let's Go for a Ride", the first single off their forthcoming summer album.

Set for release next week, the new single combines country and rock in one crank-it-up, beer drinkin', party-on tune indicative of the musicians who created it.

Looking to the sounds of The Band, The Eagles, Thoroughgood and Neil Young for inspiration, Werner and the other founding members of Haymaker, Jay Hill, Aaron "Justice" Simpson and Steve Kambietz were aware of the country flavour of these artists and decided to take that to the front in Haymaker.

During the writing stages, Werner had a vision of taking the roots rock sounds and storytelling tradition of the artists he had grown up loving and turning them into a new kinda country.

"I didn't want to reinvent the wheel." Werner explained, "I just wanted to take all the pretension away and write songs that told great stories and made people wanna drink beer and not give a crap for a while. There's more than one way to drown your sorrows and music is the best one I know of."

Haymaker's album, Wrong Place, Right Time is slated for release with On Ramp Records/EMI for July 15, 2008.

CHRIS CAGLE MAKES A YOUNG GIRLS DREAM COME TRUE AS PROM DATE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHRIS CAGLE MAKES A YOUNG GIRL'S DREAM COME TRUE AS PROM DATE

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (May 8, 2008)-Capitol Recording artist Chris Cagle made one young lady's dream come true and an entire community embrace her story. Chris accompanied Miss Danielle "Bella" Romeo to the prom held this past weekend at the Victoria Community Center, Victoria Texas.

"Bella is an extraordinary young lady," Chris introduced. Since the age of thirteen, Miss Romeo has suffered from a rare seizure disorder. "This is not just one rare illness, the doctors say Bella ‘endures a rainbow of seizures' and the cause is unknown--unidentified," Chris added.

A patient at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Bella's life-threatening condition is being reviewed a team of fifty neurologists. Her treatments have caused her to gain weight; she cannot drive, nor attend public school.

Bella and her mother were introduced to Chris at a benefit concert (October 2007) by the event chairpersons, Jim Babcock and Anna-Leigh London. (Chris trains and boards his horses at the Babcock Ranch in Texas.) "Bella was so weakened by the lights, she could not make it through the entire show," Chris said. "My heart went out to her." On May 3, Chris Cagle brought joy and "life" back into Bella's heart.

Chris accompanied the 17 year-old, tenth grader to the Junior/Senior prom. (The high school made a special exception for her to attend.) Bella wore a pink strapless custom-made, one-of-a-kind, ball gown and Chris wore a suit jacket designed by Manuel.

"Chris, a gentlemen we hardly know, took my child by the arm, and I could see it in his eyes, his honor in the moment," Bella's mom, Nipal Corder, said. "This is a ‘forever' moment for my daughter and a blessing not only to her, but our entire community. The community's response to this man's kindness has been overwhelming. I believe Chris Cagle was a gift in our lives, I believe he blessed this child and our community who has embraced this story. He's given strength and unity to me and Bella and our entire community."

The evening ended with a limo drive home. Chris' single "Wal-Mart Parking Lot" is now on the ballot to be considered as the graduating senior theme song.

"Danielle was the ‘Belle' of the ball, and I thank her for an unforgettable evening and the honor," Chris said.

[PR] Wind-up Records & Porter-Gentry Introduce Eric Durrance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wind-up Records Aligns with Porter-Gentry Productions
to Introduce New Country Artist-Eric Durrance

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (May 6, 2008)-Wind-up Records, a subsidiary of Wind-up Entertainment, New York, has entered into an innovative, strategic partnership with Porter-Gentry Productions, a Nashville-based artist development company, to introduce Wind-up's flagship country recording artist, Eric Durrance.

Under the unique business alliance between Wind-up and Porter-Gentry, Bernard Porter and Teddy Gentry will work to develop and execute the marketing and promotions campaign to introduce Durrance, his new single, entitled "Angels Fly Away," and album (by the same name) to the country music industry and radio. Wind-up Entertainment Chairman Alan Meltzer stated, "The talent, resources and relationships both Bernard and Teddy bring to the table are invaluable. We look forward to broadening this relationship in the future as Wind-up expands its label operation further in to the country market."

Wind-up Records is the largest independently owned and operated label in the United States and is distributed by Sony/BMG Entertainment worldwide (excluding Canada where the company operates Wind-up Entertainment Canada Inc. and is distributed by the Warner Music Group). The label's roster includes Evanescence, Seether, Finger Eleven, 12 Stones and more than a dozen developing artists.

A native of Tallahassee, Eric Durrance is a multi-talented musician and soulful vocalist who divides his time between his farm in Florida and Music City. His music has been described as "naturally honest" with a voice that comfortably lends itself to a country repertoire. "Eric Durrance has an incredible voice and brings a unique perspective as a singer/songwriter to country music. From the moment I met him, he's always had a fun and easy way about him," co-producer Mark Bright introduces. "He is a wonderfully emotional singer and has a great ability to connect with the listener."

Wind-up Records is set to release Durrance's country single entitled "Angels Fly Away." (June 9, 2008) Written by Craig Wiseman (Billboard's "Songwriter of the Year"-2006) and Dallas Davidson ("Honky Tonk Badonkadonk") of Big Loud Shirt, Nashville's premier independent publisher, "Angels Fly Away" is a tune Eric says he wished he had written. Eric had just endured the untimely death of his long-time manager and close personal friend, Dan Godwin, and just weeks later; the song was pitched to him. "The song landed in my hands as if hand-delivered from God. It's a ‘Live Like You Were Dying' song with the message that every day is a gift and we're not promised a tomorrow,"Eric says. "It's a feel good, sad song. I dedicate this single and the entire project to Dan." The single has an easy-does-it melody and features Eric's warm and cradling vocals as he delivers a story that is truly close to home.

Durrance's complete CD, ANGELS FLY AWAY, was produced by Teddy Gentry (Alabama, Emerson Drive) and country music producer Mark Bright (Rascal Flatts/Carrie Underwood). "Eric truly is an artist. He's hardworking, dedicated and he's believable. He knows how to sell a song. ...and it all comes naturally. He's a singer's singer," Gentry said. "Great singers will have an admiration for Eric Durrance."

Durrance is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on his debut country album that features five self-penned compositions and/or co-writes. Wind-up Records is set to release ANGELS FLY AWAY on September 16, 2008.

In support of the single and CD release, Durrance has completed tour dates with Broken Bow artist, Jason Aldean and Capitol Records Duo, Lady Antebellum. He will embark on an aggressive radio tour with Teddy Gentry who will join him. Larry Pareigis (9 North Records, Nashville, TN) will spearhead the nationwide radio promotion.

JAMES OTTO "JUST GOT STARTED" BEING NO. 1

JAMES OTTO “JUST GOT STARTED” BEING NO. 1

Warner Bros. Records Debut Single, "Just Got Started Lovin' You"

Tops The R&R And Mediabase Charts

NASHVILLE – May 5, 2008 - Singer, songwriter James Otto has his first No. 1 with current single, "Just Got Started Lovin' You,” a single he co-wrote with Jim Femino and D. Vincent Williams. The single is currently No. 1 on both the R&R and Mediabase country music charts.

“I am still in shock,” said Otto. “As a songwriter this is something you dream about. I spent the last five years making this album and to see the fans requesting the single and radio programmers playing it, is the biggest reward of all. I am so thankful to the fans and country radio for their support because there is no way this single would be No. 1 without them."

Otto continues, “I also want to thank Warner Bros. Records Radio Promotion Department for logging tons of miles in their cars driving to radio stations and spending endless hours on the phone promoting this single. You are the best! The entire staff of Warner Bros. Records should also be thanked, especially Bill Bennett as he has stood behind me and this album and given this single a l-otto love.” Otto goes on to say, “When I hit the top 20 with this single, I came into the Warner Bros. offices with a bottle of champagne. Now that I’ve hit No. 1 -- I’m going to have to think of something else to top the champagne,” he says with a smile.

In addition to scoring a No. 1 on the R&R and Mediabase charts, Otto also spent No. 1 for four weeks on the MusicRow chart, hit No. 1 on the R&R Indicator Chart and tackled No. 1 on the Country Aircheck Activator chart.

Brian Mansfield with USA Today said about the single, “This long-overlooked member of Nashville’s Muzik Mafia collective finally gets his break with a number that finds a Ronnie Milsap country-soul groove shacking up with a Conway Twitty bedroom growl. Otto’s forthcoming album is called Sunset Man, but Lovin’ You makes him sound like he could keep going all night long.”

Otto’s debut album, Sunset Man, was released on April 8, 2008 and it’s been flying off the shelves ever since. Three weeks after the album was released, Otto’s sales continue to stay strong, logging him another week in the top five on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart and dropping only five percent from the week prior. In addition, Otto has sold an impressive 107,975 copies in just three weeks.

Becky Schlegel's Debut Country Single "Bound For Tennessee" on DJs desks TODAY

Becky Schlegel’s Country Radio Debut, “Bound For Tennessee,” Hits Radio Programmers’ Desks Today Via CDX Volume 447

"I STUMBLED ACROSS BECKY THE WAY YOU FIND A SHINY NEW PENNY IN

THE PARKING LOT; IT WON'T CHANGE YOUR LIFE, BUT THERE IS SOMETHING YOU REALLY LIKE ABOUT IT." - TOM T. HALL

Nashville, TN (May 5, 2008) -- Becky Schlegel’s “Bound For Tennessee” hits radio programmers’ desks today via CDX Volume 447, marking the Minnesota singer/songwriter’s first foray into the mainstream country radio market. Co-produced by Schlegel and banjoist/guitarist Brian Fesler, the track features a rolling piano refrain and sinuous steel guitar licks, while Becky’s haunting soprano weaves a bittersweet call to the highway. Airplay Specialists Radio Promotion will be going for adds on the single on May 29. “Bound For Tennessee” is from Schlegel’s upcoming CD, FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE (Lilly Ray/IGO Records) due in stores June 17.

Becky wrote this song about a musician friend who left home for the bright lights of Nashville; Schlegel, on the other hand, didn’t have to go far to get her start - she took her first piano lesson at the age of five in the tiny town of Kimball, SD (population 700), and in high school, Becky joined her mother’s band, The Country Benders. Schlegel continued to play with the group throughout high school, and during the summers, she also sang and played keyboards for the Mountain Music Show in the Black Hills of South Dakota. And, while Schlegel admits that she still sometimes dreams of Tennessee, she is now firmly entrenched in the vibrant Twin Cities music scene of her Minnesota home; a multi-award winning Contemporary Bluegrass/Alternative Country artist with two critically-acclaimed CDs to her credit.

In the national spotlight since 1999, Becky appears frequently on RFD-TV’s Midwest Country Theater and on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion. She tours regularly throughout the Midwest, and plans are underway for a radio promo/CD Release tour.

Gibson Foundation Sponsors the Natural Resources Defense Council's Eco Salon

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Gibson Foundation Continues Mission in Support of Environmental Causes With Sponsorship of the Natural Resources Defense Council's Eco Salon

Nashville, Tennessee... May 2, 2008....Gibson Foundation, the philanthropic division of musical instrument manufacturer Gibson Guitar, furthers its support of environmental causes with the announcement of its recent sponsorship of the Natural Resources Defense Council's Eco Salon held in Nashville, Tennessee in April. The gathering, hosted by legendary singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris and featuring keynote speaker Robert Kennedy, Jr., attracted some of the music industry's elite including Sheryl Crow, Kathy Mattea, Big Kenny, Christiev Alphin, Matraca Berg, Jeff Hanna, J.D. Souther, Jon Vezner, Paul Kennerly and Nashville's Mayor Karl Dean. In addition to NRDC Founder John Adams, President Frances Bienecke, and Scientist Dr. Allen Hershkowitz, Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz and Gibson President Dave Berryman, along with Warner Bros. John Esposito and Bill Bennett and power managers Gary Borman and Ken Levitan, gathered in support of the NRDC goal to educate the creative community in Nashville about alternative energy sources to mountaintop coal mining. The effort is to keep the "country" in country music. Nashville is the sixth-largest consumer of all cities of electricity produced with mountaintop coal -- the debris from this production is dumped into the environment.

"Mountaintop removal coal mining is the most environmentally damaging form of energy extraction. This practice destroys our mountains, pollutes our air and water, and devastates local communities," said Frances Beinecke, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council. "We look forward to working with Emmylou Harris and the Gibson Foundation to raise awareness and to put an end to this devastating practice. One of the most important investments our country can make today is to purchase clean, renewable energy. These days it's easy for people to make that clean choice, which is what we've done for Emmylou Harris by purchasing a year's worth of renewable energy for her home."

Gibson Foundation has long been a trailblazer and worldwide supporter of environmental programs. Gibson began working with the Rainforest Alliance in 1995, and was the first musical instrument company to produce guitars using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) - certified wood. Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz is a long-standing Rainforest Alliance board member and, in 2006, committed the company to a 5-year plan of producing certified wood instruments - also in line with its partnership of Greenpeace's efforts to green the entire musical manufacturing industry. The Gibson Foundation also supports the Environmental Defense Fund's global warming campaign, Global Green's green building efforts in Los Angeles and New Orleans, and is proud of its commitment to help provide clean water to the millions of people who do not have this basic human need by supporting WaterAid's efforts in the Benue State of Nigeria and A Child's Right in orphanages in China, Columbia and Nepal.

Gibson Foundation: Founded in 2002 as the philanthropic division of Gibson Guitar, the Gibson Foundation is committed to making the world a better place for children worldwide through its own initiatives and by its support of other non-profit organizations that advance music and the arts, health and welfare, education, and environmental causes. The impact of the support provided by the Gibson Foundation is felt by millions of people each year. For more information on Gibson Foundation go to http://www.gibsonfoundation.org/
