TRACE ADKINS IS RIDING HIGH AGAIN AS HIS SINGLE “YOU’RE GONNA MISS THIS” HITS #1 ON THE COUNTRY SINGLES CHART

NASHVILLE, TN – March 31, 2008 - Trace Adkins can seem to do no wrong these days. He recently released his first book and he received two nominations for the upcoming CMT Video Music Awards. In addition, he just was one of the last two standing on the nationally televised “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC beating out 12 other contestants who came from the business, sports and television world, and now his latest feat is his current single “You’re Gonna Miss This” from his Greatest Hits, Vol II has landed at the top of the charts!

The song, written by Lee Thomas Miller and Ashley Gorley, talks about cherishing life’s special moments, because someday you’ll miss the time that has passed so quickly. Trace says its something he’s personally trying to practice more and often tells his daughters they should savor every second of their youth.

Trace Adkins is a multi-platinum selling country artist and an esteemed member of the Grand Ole Opry. He has been a consistent country music hit maker for more than a decade. More than twenty-four (24) of his hit singles have appeared on Billboard’s country charts, and since his debut in 1996, the Louisiana-born-and-raised country star has recorded seven studio albums, five of them certified million sellers, and two greatest hits compilations. The most recent, American Man: Greatest Hits Vol. II was released in December.

Vince Gill Back In Class

Vince Gill “Back in Class” Concert Raises $100,000 for Elementary School Auditorium Renovation in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—March 31, 2008—Vince Gill performed an intimate concert Thursday night for the Back in Class event at the site of his first stage performance, Cleveland Arts & Science Specialty School in Oklahoma City. This time, however, the country music star graced the stage to raise $100,000 to renovate the Oklahoma City public school’s auditorium, as well as receive the 2007 Oklahoman of the Year Award from Oklahoma Today magazine, the event sponsor. The concert was a far cry from his first effort when a seven-year-old Gill performed House of the Rising Sun.

“The real beauty of this event is that this is the first place I played guitar and sang in front of anybody of my whole life,” says Gill. “Even though it is nice to have a night to honor me, I’m coming home to do something for someone else and make it more than just about me.”

The auditorium—renamed Vince Gill Auditorium at a student assembly earlier in the day—provided just enough room on its stage to accommodate Gill, several guitars, speakers, and long-time Gill collaborator, keyboard player Pete Wasner. The venue was devoid of the glitz and glamour normally associated with a big headliner and instead was tenderly decorated in children’s artwork inspired by Gill and his music. The 1938-built school auditorium hosted a sold-out crowd of 228 concertgoers, each paying $495 per ticket with all proceeds going towards the auditorium renovation project. “When they told me the ticket charge, I nearly spit out my Ted’s Escondido (well-known eatery in Oklahoma City and a Gill favorite) meal,” says Gill.

Gill thrived in the elementary school environment, turning out a two-hour performance showcasing his extraordinary storytelling talent through music and personal anecdotes. Gill allowed the crowd to guide his set by taking requests directly from audience shout outs, a gathering that included Governor Brad Henry, Barry and Becky Switzer, Gill’s mother, Jerene, and sister Gina. Gill’s perfectly pitched tenor rang out over the guitar and keyboard accompaniment, with each song sounding as flawless as one of his studio recordings.

The audience cheered as Gill performed some of his greatest hits, including “When I Call Your Name,” “I Never Knew Lonely,” and “Oklahoma Borderline,” as well as new song about Route 66 set on Oklahoma City’s 39th Expressway stretch of the Mother Road. Gill told engaging stories of his Oklahoma childhood between songs, moving the audience to tear-jerking laughter with tales of his unfortunate encounter with an Oklahoma City bus driver and adventuresome driving lessons with his father. In a particularly heartwarming moment, Amy Grant, Gill’s wife and Christian recording artist, performed two songs while seated on the first row with daughter Corrina fast asleep on her lap. “I think the concert was a wonderful experience that people will never forget,” said Joan Henderson, Oklahoma Today publisher. “I hope they understand why Vince Gill is Oklahoman of the Year.”

An awards ceremony kicked off the Back in Class event, featuring a proclamation from the Oklahoma City Public Schools honoring Gill, the presentation of the 2007 Oklahoman of the Year Award by Oklahoma Today magazine, and the official announcement of Vince Gill Day from Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry.

Oklahoma Today got it right when they named Vince Gill the 2007 Oklahoman of the Year,” said Governor Henry. “There is no one better that exemplifies the great characteristics of the state than Vince Gill.”

Gill was selected for his accomplishments in 2007, which included induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, nomination for his nineteenth Grammy award, and participation in writing and performing the Oklahoma Centennial anthem, “Oklahoma Rising.”

The ceremony also featured the presentation of $94,957 to Cleveland Elementary School principal Dr. Mary Coughlin and PTA president Virginia Holleman, who plan to use the money to renovate the auditorium by refurbishing the vintage wood folding chairs, staining the concrete floors, painting the walls, and adding new curtains, back-stage storage, audio equipment, and a lighting system. A silent auction held that evening raised nearly $5,000. “It would probably have taken us close to ten years to raise $100,000 without this event,” says Holleman. “It has been a dream come true, we’ve been pinching ourselves all day.”

Earlier in the day, Gill performed for Cleveland Elementary School students, where the country crooner was named this month’s Pick of the Litter, an honor bestowed on choice Cleveland Bulldogs. Here, Gill shined as he recounted E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web as his favorite children’s book and the trampoline as his favorite toy. He also was awarded a Pick of the Litter dog tag that he proudly wore around his neck during the evening concert. The assembly roared with excitement and energy as he sang What You Give Away with the student body and encouraged student Collin Holloway to perform guitar on stage with him. A favorite moment, as recalled by Oklahoma Today editor in chief Louisa McCune-Elmore, is when Gill encouraged the students to aim high, saying, “Dream big, you never know what will happen. I guarantee it.”

The impact of the event was summed up through poignant comments by Gill’s wife Amy Grant during the awards ceremony, who said while choking on tears, “I felt so swept up with the energy of the children singing today, encouraging kids is what really pushes Vince’s buttons.”

Martina McBride Extends Her "Waking Up Laughing Tour"

FrontPage Publicity

MARTINA McBRIDE TAKES HER SUCCESSFUL "WAKING UP LAUGHING TOUR" OUTDOORS THIS SUMMER

Special Guests to include Jack Ingram, Chris Young and Jason Michael Carroll

Nashville, TN (March 28, 2008) - For Country Music's biggest voice, Martina McBride, the sky's the limit this summer as she takes her "Waking Up Laughing Tour" outdoors to over twenty-five amphitheaters. After a successful arena run, in both the US and Canada, this extension will offer fans the opportunity to take in hit after hit in a completely different environment.

"We at Live Nation are very excited to be working with Martina this summer," said VP of Nashville Touring, Brian O'Connell. "Martina is unquestionably one of the biggest stars in the entertainment world and this summer we look forward to seeing her under the stars!"

Released in April of 2007 McBride's record, Waking Up Laughing, included the smash hit "Anyway" which was nominated for three CMA Awards, and is currently nominated for CMT Music Awards Female Video of the Year. Proving she has the performance chops to back up the studio cuts, the "Waking Up Laughing" Arena Tour was ranked by Pollstar as a top ten tour in all genres, top five country tour, and the number one solo-female country tour.

"McBride brought the crowd to its feet and enjoyed a standing ovation, in the middle of her set no less," noted the Grand Rapids Press of a recent show.

"McBride possesses the most powerful set of pipes of any woman in contemporary country music, a ringing mezzo-soprano that splits syllables with pitch-perfect precision and sustains notes with seemingly effortless aplomb," raved the San Francisco Chronicle.

With five number one hits, and twenty-two top tens to pull from, Martina's set is sure to give the audience everything they want and more, including "Blessed," "A Broken Wing," and "Wild Angels." In addition, McBride mixes it up with covers of country classics like Loretta Lynn's "You Aint Woman Enough" and a rendition of "Over the Rainbow" that would make the toughest of men tear up just a little. Her mega-anthems like "Independence Day" and "Anyway" might just blow the roof off the house, if there were one.

"This One's For the Girls"... that's one way to describe the special guests. Continuing on the tour with Martina will be Texas based singer-songwriter Jack Ingram who has wowed audiences with his intensely entertaining live show and two newcomers Chris Young (on through Aug. 30) and Jason Michael Carroll (Sept. 19 - Oct. 11).

After a decade of critical acclaim, Jack Ingram's breakthrough album, This Is It, debuted at #4 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. His #1 smash single "Wherever You Are" kicked off a clean sweep of hits that was followed by the Top Ten tongue-in-cheek rocker, "Love You;" Jack's rendition of "Lips of an Angel;" "Measure of a Man," and his current hit single, the romantic lament, "Maybe She'll Get Lonely."

Chris Young burst onto the country music scene two years ago with his self-titled debut album, which was the highest selling debut by a new male country act for all of 2006 and earned him his first Academy of Country Music nomination in 2007 for Top New Male. The 22 year-old is rooted in his love of traditional country music but has taken his 10+

years of live stage experience and crafted his own version of what is today's country music. His sophomore album set to release this summer is a true representation of Young's incredible musicianship and showcases his amazing gift - his voice.

Billboard's Top New Country Artist of 2007, Arista Nashville recording artist Jason Michael Carroll exploded onto the scene with the release of his first album, Waitin' in the Country, which debuted at #1 in its first week on the country album chart. Having drawn praise from such outlets as USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, and many more, Carroll kicked off 2008 with his debut performance on Good Morning America. With back-to-back Top 5 singles to his credit ("Alyssa Lies" and "Livin' Our Love Song"), Carroll is on the charts now with his latest hit, "I Can Sleep When I'm Dead."

Whether on the road, or in the studio, there is seemingly nothing that McBride cannot accomplish. The multi-platinum-songstress has earned a Grammy Award, CMA Female Vocalist of the Year four times (a tied record she shares with Reba McEntire) and currently is nominated for the 2008 ACM Female Vocalist of the Year. To date McBride has sold over 16 million albums. Recently she released her first ever live CD/DVD entitled Martina McBride: Live in Concert.

EMERSON DRIVE

COUNTRIFIED

PRODUCED BY: Brad Allen, Keith Follese, Teddy Gentry (of the legendary group ALABAMA) & Josh Leo

Emerson Drive’s new album “Countrified” on Midas Records Nashville proves they’ve definitely come to play. “The title of the record basically sums up everything we are as a group,” says lead vocalist Brad Mates. “It’s the music we feel is Emerson Drive, and it’s a stamp of what we believe is our kind of country music â€" something our fans can really relate to.”

Alabama member Teddy Gentry and producer Josh Leo came out to hear Emerson Drive just after the band was released from DreamWorks, and were immediately blown away by what they heard and wanted to work with them. It was the ultimate compliment for a group of guys who had idolized Alabama and their music. The input and direction of Gentry and Leo proved invaluable and added even more to the band’s rejuvenated recording process. As producers, they understood what kind of sound Emerson Drive was going for, especially in capturing the band’s live sound in the studio. With Gentry and Leo at the helm, the songs took center stage and the difference is evident in the finished product. “We really let the songs breathe a little bit this time around,” says Wallace “It is much more relaxed and like our live sound.”

When the newly-formed independent label Midas Records Nashville heard some of the material the band was cutting, they immediately became interested and signed them, recognizing the quality and integrity of the music they were hearing. Emerson Drive became the flagship artist for the new record label.

Emerson’s electrifying onstage energy comes through at every turn on their new CD COUNTRIFIED. Rocking tunes like “Testify” and “Countrified Soul” let the band do what comes naturally and what they do best â€" tear it up onstage. “Countrified Soul” kicks off with a blast of the band’s signature harmonies, then quickly turns into a full-tilt, fun-filled, “the weekend’s-here-let’s-party” romp where the guys turn it up and let it loose. Dubbed “turbograss” by Gentry, the song allows Emerson Drive’s amazing musicianship to shine through during its fiery instrumental breakdowns, and offers up a groove that is equal parts squaredance/breakdance.

At the other end of the spectrum are songs like the sweetly reverent “Everyday Woman.” The song’s touching sentiment is sure to capture female hearts with its simple message singing the praises of a woman who probably seems ordinary to most of the world but is actually everything to her man. Demonstrating his versatility and range, Mates taps into his Southern soul on the grooving, “Sweet Natural Girl,” (a tune that paints a picture of bliss through the eyes of a man totally and completely intoxicated by love). “A Good Man” the band’s current single, celebrates small town life and the rewards of just being a good person â€" a sentiment the members of Emerson Drive definitely relate and aspire to in the bigger picture. And the touching ballad “Moments,” lets Mates’ vocals take center stage. The tear-jerking tune a bout a homeless man reflecting on the twists and turns of his life and what he might have done differently, became the first number one song of the band’s career and has made its mark as another signature song for Emerson Drive.

COUNTRIFIED and its eleven songs mark an artistic turning point for the band. They feel they have finally made a record that is truly indicative of their talents and musical capabilities. “These songs have incredible meaning and we are really proud of this album,” says Mates.

Shawna Russell's 'Goddess' Earns Stars in Country Weekly!

For Immediate Release:

Shawna Russell Earns 'Stars' from Country Weekly

Way Out West/Nine North Records Country-Rock Singer/Songwriter Stands Toe-to-Toe with Superstars in America's Favorite Country Fan Mag – on Stands Now

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (March 28, 2008) -- Shawna Russell, country-rock singer/songwriter and Way Out West/Nine North Records artist, got a big boost this week when Country Weekly weighed in with a 3 ½ star review for her debut CD, Goddess, in their April 7 edition – on stands now.

America's favorite "all-things-Country" mag gave Russell high praise with Music Editor Chris Neal stating, "Her promising debut is soaked in the influences of 1970's country-rock and California pop - and the role model most clearly evoked throughout the album is Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks. It's a winning fusion that evokes the era's sense of mystery while remaining grounded in the present – especially on the scorcher 'Fire in the Desert.'"

Russell adds this accolade to other recent rave reviews for Goddess (released in Nashville during CRS-39) from Maverick Magazine, Nashville Music Guide, Country Stars Online and others.

Russell is preparing for her national radio debut on April 14, when she will release "Goddess," the CD's title song, on Way Out West/Nine North Records.

As one of the CMA's "Who New To Watch in 2008" artists, the buzz around her is increasing within the music industry and is striking a winning chord with fans. In the past few weeks, her face and news about Goddess have been highlighted in All Access, Country Aircheck, Music Row, Radio & Records, All About Country.com, Country Stars Online, Music News Nashville, and others. It's rare attention indeed for a brand new artist who has yet to release a single.

AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST JOSH GRACIN RELEASING NEW CD "WE WEREN'T CRAZY" ON TUESDAY, APRIL 1

NASHVILLE, TN - (March 27, 2008) – After selling more than 695,000 copies of his Gold-selling debut CD and delivering three consecutive top 5 singles to country radio, “American Idol” favorite Josh Gracin will release his highly anticipated sophomore album, We Weren’t Crazy, on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.

Gracin wrote or co-wrote three songs on the new CD and is admittedly most excited about his newest single, the title track, “We Weren’t Crazy.” The autobiographical song was written by Gracin, Tony Lopacinski, and Bobby Pinson about Gracin’s personal journey from childhood to raising children and having a family of his own. “This time around I got to dig in and share my stories as a songwriter. I’m so proud of how this song turned out,” he said.

Josh Gracin’s new CD, We Weren’t Crazy allows audiences to take a more personal look inside the life of the “American Idol” season 2 finalist and former Marine. “This album is more me,” says Gracin. “I was able to focus on making the album I wanted to make. For the first album, I was still in the service, so I had to fly in and out of Nashville to record when I could. This time around it had my undivided attention.” Josh worked with producers Marty Williams and Brett James on the CD’s eleven tracks.

Josh Gracin’s debut album is certified gold by the RIAA and has sold over 695,000 copies. He’s one of only three new male country singers to be introduced in the last four years to earn a gold album. Josh is also the only male solo country artist in recent years to release a debut album with three consecutive Top 5 country hits, including his first #1, “Nothin’ To Lose.”

Nashville, TN – Copley Musical Instruments and George Jones University are using different “instruments” to reach a similar goal. George Jones University plans to teach the “ABC’s” of the music industry, including insights into artist management, booking, record label functionalities, song publishing, publicity, touring, major industry organization roles, networking, breaking into the business, and the history of the entertainment industry as a whole. George Jones University takes place in Franklin, Tennessee, March 27th – 30th .

Copley Musical Instruments, formed in 2000, has an equally impressive roster with partners/ founders Babs Simmons, Scott Jurgensmeyer, and John Copley. REBECCA OWEN: Hot New Country Sounds From Way Out West in New Mexico

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

REBECCA OWEN

STEP ASIDE, NASHVILLE! SOME OF THE HOTTEST NEW SOUNDS IN COUNTRY MUSIC ARE COMING FROM WAY OUT WEST IN NEW MEXICO WITH THE EMERGENCE OF THE ALBUQUERQUE BASED VOCAL POWERHOUSE'S SELF-TITLED INDIE DEBUT, WHICH WAS PRODUCED BY JOHNNY MULHAIR (LEANN RIMES)

* * *
The New Orleans Area Native, Currently Performing Regularly at New Mexico's Premiere Honky Tonk Cowboy's And Other Local Hotspots, Has Received Airplay On KSFR In Santa Fe—Where She Does Regular Gigs For Charity—And Has Been Featured on The Australian Based Internet Station 101 FM

As fate would have it, rising country singer Rebecca Owen moved from her suburban New Orleans hometown of Slidell, Louisiana out to Albuquerque, New Mexico just ten days before Hurricane Katrina. Completely in line with the powerful romantic themes on the twelve tracks of her self titled, independently released debut CD, she did it not because she had a crystal ball but for love—her husband Jon is doing a medical residency there.

Since then, Owen's been turning up the heat out West, stirring up a storm of her own on the growing country music scene in her beloved adopted home state. A strikingly charismatic interpreter of heartfelt and rockin' originals and beloved cover songs, the singer—whose album was produced by New Mexico native and Country Music Association nominee Johnny Mulhair, who helmed LeAnn Rimes' first two CDs--recently hosted her record release party for Rebecca Owen at Cowboy's Club in Albuquerque, the largest honky tonk in the state where she is a regular performer.

Owen, who once played the House of Blues sponsored Country & Blues Fest outside of New Orleans, is a regular presence on the fair circuit, with two consecutive appearances at the New Mexico State Fair. Last year, she opened for singer Jack Ingram at the fair's rodeo event—performing on the same stage as Emerson Drive—and in 2006, she opened for Little Big Town.

Owen's 2008 club dates include stops at Pecos Flavors Winery in Roswell, the Harvest Wine Festival in Las Cruces and the Santa Fe County Fair. She's well known in the artist friendly town of Santa Fe, where she and her band have done numerous shows to raise money for the city's rape crisis center and Silver Bullet Productions, a company that goes into rural areas to teach kids about filmmaking via impromptu documentaries of their daily lives.

Her status as a regional sensation secured by an hour long, live on air performance of songs from her debut on KSFR in Santa Fe, Owen also has a growing worldwide audience thanks to the many hits on her myspace page (www.myspace.com/rebeccaowencountry), where her high kickin' track "Sidewinder" has earned over 2000 plays, and her success on the Australian based website www.101fm.asn.au, where she has earned an overwhelming response and was a featured artist earlier this year.

Aside from enjoying the incredible climate and the friendly, small town community feel of Albuquerque, Owen felt immediately that it was the best place possible to stand out as a country music performer. Shortly after arriving in town, she joined the local chapter of Nashville's songwriter's association and got the word out that she wanted to start a band. A local DJ not only helped her hook up with some local musicians who eventually became part of her working ensemble, he also helped promote her music and secure her first gigs.

"People have really taken notice a lot more here and they're great about supporting new artists," says Rebecca, who moved to Nashville for a spell in college and worked for a year as a talent scout and booking agent for "Louisiana Jukebox," a local music show in New Orleans. "In Albuquerque, it's less about what 'the new thing' is than it is about people really just enjoying themselves. There's an appreciation of music here that's much more pure than any other place I've been."

"I'm very much committed to putting on a wildly entertaining show," she adds, "bringing out a lot of energy and connecting to every single person in the audience. And I choose the songs I sing because they have great stories that everyday people can connect to. That's what got me into music in the first place, my desire to communicate emotions to people. I'm currently growing as a songwriter myself, but I was lucky in the process of choosing material for my debut that I got in contact with great writers like my friend Kris Russell from Denver, who wrote 'Sidewinder,' which I call the ultimate bad boyfriend song. I knew it could rock!

"A great song," she adds, "should really pop out like that and make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That's a sure tell-tale sign. It should also tell a story that comes across in an easy to understand way that everyone can totally relate to."

The twelve tracks on Rebecca Owen create a fascinating mix of songs both legendary and soon-to-be known. Her version of Hank Williams, Sr.'s "My Heart Would Know" is not only an homage to the country music legend but also to the era he represents that brought country to mainstream appreciation. Owen also enjoyed the challenge of covering one of her favorite artists, Lucinda Williams, with a highly percussive, bluesy twist on "I Lost It," a song that tells the story of not being able to go back after someone has taken your heart. Another memorable song many country fans will be familiar with is Rodney Crowell's "I Ain't Living Long Like This."

One of Owen's favorite songs on her debut is pop songwriter Oliver Lieber's emotion-charged power ballad "World Without You," about what she calls "the desperate feeling of loving someone so completely that the thought of not having them in your world is devastating." She has a funny story attached to Sherrie Austin's "Tenderly." When Owen first heard it back in high school, she thought it would be a good song to sing at a senior talent show. She didn't realize the song was about one-night stands, and the teachers and administrators at her Catholic school were none too pleased!

As Owen evolves from the ranks of successful indie artist to a force to be reckoned with on the national country music scene, it's clear that fans will be responding to more than simply her dynamic applications of an amazing three octave vocal range; it's the way she gets inside the songs, and the emotional intimacy she brings to every note that makes her stand out from every other young country singer out there.

"When I've opened for national recording artists, I've been so spurred on by the excitement in the room," she says. "I want to be where they are. I'm enjoying everything about this process…recording, live performances, promoting the album. I truly live and breathe for what I'm doing and I couldn't imagine my life without music. Nothing tops the excitement of a live performance, where the whole big world becomes so small and intimate. You look at the news these days, and there's so much about disasters, pain and horrible despair. It makes you feel so small in a huge world. But when I perform, I'm able to bring hope and love to people in a way that, like faith itself, takes me outside myself and helps me believe in something better and greater, in other people and life's beautiful possibilities."

Collin Herring Featured Artist

TEARING UP ROOTS
Fort Worth singer-songwriter Collin Herring's Past Life Crashing has been a long train running and a long time coming.
By ANTHONY MARIANI

Collin Herring For a few months a couple of years ago, Collin Herring's home court was the Aardvark, a popular rock bar by the campus of Texas Christian University. The roots-rock singer-songwriter and the club's owner eventually had a falling out, which forced Herring to set up shop at Fort Worth's only other respectable rock bar, the Wreck Room, on the other side of town in the West 7th Street-area. Herring occasionally hung out in the neighborhood and sometimes, from the comfort of a bar stool, plucked out impromptu sets on an acoustic guitar. But he never really worked at developing a West-7th fan base. His first couple of shows brought out his loyal fans, respectably stuffing the moderately sized club, and he also drew some newbies, mainly the Wreck's base of hipsters and hard-rockers, wanting to see what the hell a TCU-area kid was doing on their sacred turf.

NASHVILLE, TN – With a client roster reading like a "who's who" in popular music, the teachings of Renee Grant-Williams have helped superstars such as Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana"), Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Bo Bice, Faith Hill, Christina Aguilera, Keith Urban and countless others take their careers to amazing heights. Grant-Williams has announced the 10th Annual Vocal Master Class, to be held on Saturday, April 19, will be the last in the acclaimed series.

"This certainly doesn't mean I'm going to stop teaching," attests Grant-Williams. "I'm working on new products and programs that I want to focus my time and efforts on launching and a girl only has so many hours in a day!"

A consistent sell-out since its inception, The Master Class ticket price has remained the same as it was its first year. The success of the event is attributed to the added value created by the group setting, which allows attendees the opportunity to see the results of new techniques at work in their peers. Additionally, students are taught not only how to sing better, they also learn invaluable lessons to help them navigate the business aspects of a career as an entertainer.

"The Master Class has been such a successful series," says Grant-Williams. "We've seen so many singers go on to have much more rewarding careers after attending the class, including Brad Mates (Emerson Drive), Taylor Ware ('America's Got Talent'), and Jennifer Hanson."

This year's class will be held at Nashville's SIR (Studio Instrument Rentals), the rehearsal facility that is commonly inhabited by the likes of Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, Garth Brooks, ZZ Top, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and others. The daytime assembly (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) features training techniques and hands-on instruction with Grant-Williams and includes the panel discussion 10 Career-Busting Mistakes Every Singer Should Avoid, which focuses on identifying and avoiding the most common mistakes made by entertainers.

The activities conclude with the attendees being given the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned from their participation in the class at the Evening Performance Showcase (7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.). A team of music industry professionals will be on hand to give each participant a written critique of their performance with comments on what they do well and suggestions for what could be improved.

"Faith's interest in sharing both her fabulous sense of style and engaging musical talents will surely excite her millions of established fans while creating throngs of new admirers worldwide at Stardoll."

"Joining Stardoll is exciting for me, especially because my kids are such fans," said Faith Hill. "This is the first time I've explored a virtual world and I'm amazed at what a creative, kind and eclectic mix of girls belong to the community."

As part of the new partnership, Faith's legions of dedicated fans will be able to view items in the singer's virtual closet that she hand selected to reflect her classic sense of style. In addition, fans who visit her virtual suite will have access to streaming songs, a video for her song "Red Umbrella" and promotional photos.

Stardoll receives more than 7 million unique visitors every month from across the globe—94% of whom are teen and tween girls. One of the few places on the Internet designed specifically with girls' interests in mind, Stardoll began as the hobby of Scandinavian-born Liisa, a retired factory worker in her late 50s with a lifelong aspiration to become a famous fashion designer. She taught herself basic design programs on her computer and shared her fashion creations with a few friends. With the help of her son, she then posted those fashions on the Internet for others to see, and soon Stardoll grew into a passionate online community of millions from more than 200 countries worldwide.

The Stardoll community express themselves in a number of unique ways:

· ; They create their own "MeDolls," which they design in their own likenesses by choosing from a variety of virtual facial shapes, eyes brows, skin tones, hair styles, lips, faces, eye colors and chins;

· ; They dress those MeDolls in an array of Stardoll brands all available in the glittering Starplaza—a complex of virtual storefronts. Styles range from the couture feel of Voile and Fallen Angel's goth textures to the 80s Nostalgia of Pretty in Pink and urban edge of Fudge.

· ; Through partnerships with the likes of Hilary Duff's Stuff by Duff, the mary-kateandashley brand, Heidi Klum's Runway Collection of jewelry, DKNY and Sephora, members can purchase items from real brands as well;

· ; They furnish their own virtual suites with pets, furniture and posters by shopping with Stardollars—the community's virtual currency;

· ; They interact in "clubs" that users can build and join. Stardoll clubs are a great way for members with similar interests to make friends, swap style tips, share decorating ideas and play games;

· ; They craft well thought out promotional campaigns to become the next Stardoll Magazine cover girl by broadcasting messages to the entire site and petitioning the community for their vote. Generally, when the cover girl is announced the next time she visits her virtual suite she'll have dozens of virtual gifts from members across the world congratulating her. (Interestingly, one of the most popular gifts is a virtual Dutch porcelain pig.)

Kimber Sparks' new release - NOWHERE TO GO

Since she was "discovered" by Lee Kernaghan five years ago singing karaoke at the Great Western Hotel in Rockhampton, Kimber Sparks has certainly had people talking about her. Her EP Go Get EM Girl produced three chart singles and video clips and now It's Her Turn to do the talking.

Not many people can claim to have a TRUE country voice but Kimber sure can. Growing up in a small town in Alabama,USA she learnt to sing in church and with that down-home southern accent, there's no way Kimber Sparks could sound anything but Country!

It's Her Turn is a real country album, the way she always intended it to be. Filled with Kimber's original songs, her lifetime of experiences laid bare from beautiful ballads, to a bit of bluegrass, and a dash of sassiness and fun that we come to expect from "Sparky"

Produced by Bill Chambers and featuring Country's A-List of musicians, It's Her Turn contains several co-written tracks & a duet with Bill, plus the much anticipated duet with USA Country legend Vern Gosdin - "CHISELLED IN STONE", which was written by Vern and Max D. Barnes, and was the 1989 CMA Song of the Year in USA.

The first single NOWHERE TO GO is now available for you to request at your local radio stations, as well as at: http://www.ozcountry.com.au/

Country Music Star Troy Gentry Partners with National Non-Profit Patient Advocate Foundation to Spread the Message about Challenges to Healthcare Access for Insured and Uninsured Americans

,
Country Music Star Troy Gentry Partners with National Non-Profit Patient Advocate Foundation to Spread the Message about Challenges to Healthcare Access for Insured and Uninsured Americans

Gentry featured in :30 and :60 second nationwide public service announcement

NEWPORT NEWS, VA (March 17, 2007) – The Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF)-a national non-profit organization providing direct case management services and healthcare information to millions of patients with life-threatening, debilitating and chronic diseases each year who are unable to obtain access to healthcare because of financial issues or insurance denials – today announced a formal educational partnership with Grammy-nominated country music star Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry.

The partnership will be featured in a national public service announcement (PSA) campaign – to be launched at the beginning of March 2008 and distributed to radio and television stations throughout the country – describing the services PAF provides to uninsured and insured patients in need of help securing access to medical care. Together, PAF and Troy hope to provide important information to the millions of Americans who are suffering from illnesses and who must also struggle with healthcare access issues that block their path to the timely receipt of the medical care that they need and deserve.

"It's an honor to work with the Patient Advocate Foundation on an issue that is important to so many Americans," said Gentry. "Unfortunately, I know from personal experience how the complications of securing healthcare coverage can make an already trying time that much more difficult – it's great to be working with an organization like PAF that is able to fight successfully on patients' behalf."

In 2007, Troy lost his mother to cancer. He was by his mother's side as she suffered through painful cancer treatments, and he was her first line of defense in navigating the complicated maze of our healthcare system. As so many other Americans have experienced, he witnessed first hand how fighting a battle with cancer can also mean fighting a battle to get the healthcare coverage you need to survive. Troy was so affected by his mother's experience that he has vowed to help others who may be facing obstacles to get the healthcare they need.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Troy Gentry on this public service announcement, that we hope will reach thousands of patients who are in need of help and not yet aware of PAF's free services," said Nancy Davenport-Ennis, founder, president and CEO of PAF. "We look forward to continuing to work with Troy on educating people about how to get this all-important assistance in accessing their medical care."

Over the past 12 years, PAF's expert case managers and medical professionals have helped nearly 20 million patients gain access to healthcare when denied coverage by their insurance provider. In 2007, more than 6.8 million people from all 50 states contacted PAF for information – approximately 44,600 of those requests requiring direct, sustained mediation from PAF. Of those 44,600 cases, 76 percent of the patients had some form of insurance, whether it was private healthcare, Medicare or Medicaid.

"Unfortunately, it is a common misconception in America that just because you have health insurance, you will get the medications and medical care that you need – particularly when faced with a life-threatening, debilitating or catastrophic health crisis," said Davenport-Ennis. "We have seen entirely too many patients and family members struggle with rejected claims, denials based on pre-existing conditions and additional insurance coverage challenges that can lead to life-or-death delays in treatment. It's important to get the word out to these patients that PAF is here to fight on their behalf."

For more information about PAF and its services, contact 1-800-532-5274 or visit www.patientadvocate.org.

COUNTRY MUSIC'S UP 'N COMERS ADDED TO MAIN STAGE
James Otto Ashton Shepherd

ENTERPRISE, AL -- (March 19, 2008) Ronnie Gilley Entertainment is stacking the talent high for the BamaJam Music & Arts Festival. The 3-day/2-night event has already been labeled as a mega outdoor entertainment extravaganza combining the elements and character of Bonnaroo, Woodstock, Telluride and Country Thunder.

An all-encompassing community and creative arts experience staged to attract Country, Classic Rock, Alternative and Bluegrass music enthusiasts from around the world, the first BamaJam Music & Arts Festival will take place, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 5 – 7, 2008 at Boy Scout Road and Highway #167, Enterprise, Alabama.

Music in wide-open space, BamaJam is a community gathering sprawling across 600 acres that will feature a galaxy of entertainment. In addition to the musical festivities (on three separate stages), Bama Village will be the centerpiece of BamaJam hosting booths, displays and family activities. Bama Market, located in the center of Bama Village, will boast great food from the culinary artist, gourmet chef, and grill and deep fat fryer. Bamajammers can "shop till they drop" on the Bama Boardwalk where they'll find an assortment of quality arts, crafts and jewelry items (from local craftsman and artisans and various vendors) as well as official festival and artist merchandise. For the outdoor adventurer, RV's, tents and sleeping bags are welcomed!

BamaJam will be surrounded by some of the world's greatest music...

Electrified on the Alternative Stage…

BamaJam is pleased to announce Gov't Mule will headline the Saturday night show (June 7). Refusing to be categorized in any genre, the group's sound is laced with Blues, Folk, Reggae, Soul and Jazz, and is guaranteed to appeal to the entire BamaJam audience. Posted as the most-wanted jam band, Gov't Mule's enthralling riffs, body-moving grooves and captivating improvisations are the hallmarks of their legendary live shows. The group has become a staple act at all the major music festival including Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Mountain Jam, Vegoose and their own annual New Orleans Jazzfest night show.

Sounding as good on stage as a studio recording, one of the best live non-traditional, improvisational Bluegrass bands will also appear on the Alternative stage on Saturday, June 7. Yonder Mountain String Band (YMSB), an American progressive four-member act with a whole lot of Bluegrass in one basket will showcase their talents on acoustic guitar, banjo, resonator guitar, fiddle, mandolin and upright bass. The always progressive, inventive YMSB continues to close the gap between bluegrass and rock. Yonder Mountain has become one of the fastest rising touring bands in the country. Their string of steady gigs and high profile improv sets have enabled the group to increase their fan base in multiples in the last five years.

Playing their brand of American roots music with a rock and roll attitude, Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS), a five-piece rollicking, punkified, old-time acoustic band will headline the Alternative stage on Friday, June 6. Characterized by their mix of American roots, folk, blues, gospel, bluegrass and hints of gritty rock, BamaJammers will enjoy unbridled, unfastened fiddle tunes and plunky ballads. OCMS' Critter Fuqua, Kevin Hayes, Morgan Jahnig, Ketch Secor and Willie Watson have made a name for themselves as energetic performers with an infectious spirit whose aggressive tour schedule has led to a legion of fans worldwide.

Keller Williams will perform on Friday, June 6. Labeled as a guitar's mad-scientist, Williams is a one-man band for the new millennium and dozens of other clever nicknames dreamed up by fans and music journalists who venture to describe his uplifting and ever-shifting style of music. A twenty-year music veteran, Keller is a prolific artist, an exceptional guitarist and an accomplished songwriter. Keller celebrates his twelfth album release; the CD captures his groundbreaking and remarkable career. Aptly titled 12, the album features a standout song from each of his previous eleven releases. Keller himself dubs this as an album of "hitless greatest hits."

Rounding out the weekend on the Alternative Stage are Railroad Earth, the Americana-based jam band that combines elements of Bluegrass, Rock & Roll, Jazz, and Celtic; Corey Smith, who is known as the "unsigned golden artist;" Nanci Griffith, the Grammy award winning international "Voice" of Americana and Folk; Marc Broussard, whose music is best described as "Bayou Soul" (a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with his distinctive Southern roots) and The Zac Brown Band.

Colorado Cowboy Mike Schikora Gallaps Onto The Country Music Scene While Staying True To His Country Roots

Rising country music singer/songwriter Mike Schikora is the real deal – a dying breed of ranchers/cowboys, a rustic Rocky Mountain horseman. A day well spent is working in the pasture, training new born foals, riding, and mending fences. Mike has rode his horse twice over the Continental Divide, started a Half Arabian Sport horse breeding business, became a partner in his own Indie record label Front Range Records, and continues to write new songs for his publishing company, Tuck And Go Music.

Mike will be releasing his first single, “Dance Angelina,” which will be off his debut album, What’s Old Is New Again, available later this year. This single is an organic and emotive track that captures his gritty classic country style.

His musical influences include Chet Atkins, The Judds, Floyd Cramer, Boots Randolph, Billie Holiday, among others. He is making his way into country music with positive recognition. Here is some Schikora buzz:

“Mike is one heck of an artist! Our venues continue to request him as he pulls in a consistent audience. Listen to his music one time and you’ll be hooked!” - Dave McIntyre / Booking Agent for DMac Roots & Blues

“I have known Mike for years and not only is he a hard working singer/songwriter, but he is also a performer with a strong work ethic and a focused determination to achieve his goals. His genuine country sound is sure to be heard on his pure, solid country album.” - George Clinton / Chief Engineer & Producer at Bayou Recording in Nashville, TN

“Mike has one of the most unique male voices I have ever heard. He has such a wonderful personality. Once you get to know him and his lifestyle, you become a fan! He’s a true performer on stage and very relaxed. Fans love him!” - Buzz Arledge / Executive Publisher

"I am very excited to be working with singer songwriter Mike Schikora. Mike is one of those gifted artists that hits a high mark with his authentic Texas country music. Close your eyes and you’re around the campfire on a starry night.” - Ed Spacek / TX Radio Promoter

Morelia was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the age of 36. On May 31st she will be celebrating her 40th birthday and will use this life milestone to further her life's cause: finding a cure for the disease. "I have been blessed with an amazing life," says Morelia. "This organization is my way of giving back. Diabetes is a serious disease that can be managed with proper lifestyle but we still need a cure." A telethon to fight diabetes would be the opportunity to utilize Morelia's friends and many luminaries she has known since her childhood.

On Saturday, May 31st, from 7pm until midnight, Indigo Hotel in Nashville will be the setting for her first great celebrity-packed glitzy event. Sherry Lynn Captures Attention at CRS

John Michael Montgomery SL Richie McDonald

Nashville, TN - Steal Heart Music recording artist, Sherry Lynn was as busy as a steaming locomotive at her first CRS (Country Radio Seminar) early this March. She devoted her time to doing interviews, meeting with many country radio program directors, DJ’s, and visiting with fellow artists. Pictured here are John Michael Montgomery, Sherry Lynn, and Richie McDonald.

Sherry Lynn couldn't be more excited about the chart attention she’s receiving from her current single, Wrong Train from her CD “It’s a Woman Thing.” “Radio has jumped on board” laughed Lynn using a railroad term, “And we’re chugging along up the charts,” continued the exuberant Sherry Lynn. Sherry Lynn carried the train theme right from the release of the single. She personally baked train shaped cookies and mailed them out to radio programmers… hoping to get them on the Right Track.

River Run Records Artist Charlie Allen Impresses at CRS-39

For Immediate Release:

Charlie Allen Hosts VIP Dinner and Knock-Out Performances During CRS

Veteran Performer is Celebrated by Music Industry Titans, Radio Reporters & Promoters, Newcomers & Legendary Performers Last Week in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (March 10, 2008) – Country singer/songwriter Charlie Allen and River Run Records celebrated the continuing climb of Allen's current single "See If I Care" with music industry titans, radio programmers and promoters, newcomers and legendary performers during CRS-39 in Nashville last week.

Allen, who grew up performing with Hank Williams, Jr., Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many other pillars of Country music, proved that experience pays off when it comes to knowing how to perform on cue - and win the hearts of his listeners.

On Tuesday night, Allen was the closing act on a bill of independent artists which included performances by 80's rocker, Eddie Money. Allen lifted the roof off the room with powerful acoustic vocal renditions of his recent radio singles from his forthcoming CD, That Was Then - This Is Now. Accompanied by Greg "Fiddler" Holt, Allen brought the crowd to a fevered pitch and had them singing along to his songs and showing their love and appreciation to the man-of-the-hour.

On Thursday evening, Allen and River Run hosted a special VIP dinner at Nashville's posh Valentino's restaurant. The invitation-only affair drew Top Music Row and R&R reporters who were treated to world-class food and commanding performances by Allen throughout the evening. Music industry titan, Mike Kraski, President of newly-formed Tenacity Management & Consulting, introduced Allen by stating: "I have been a fan of Charlie's for many years and it is an honor to be here tonight." Never one to hog the spotlight, the humble Allen then introduced several special guest artists, including the legendary Joe Stampley and his son, Tony Stampley (one of Allen's co-writing partners), and new Atlantic Records-New York artist, Jesse Lee. Allen and the Stampleys joined together to give the gathered crowd a dose of what real country music is all about. To the delight of everyone, Allen then regaled the crowd with what the elder Stampley referred to as 'the most powerful voice I have ever witnessed."

Allen capped the week with interviews at the Digital Rodeo booth with host, Robert Reynolds of the Grammy Award-winning Mavericks; Brian Covert of the syndicated television show, Inside Music Row; Honky Tonk Magazine; and "feature story" interviews with New Music Weekly magazine, and journalist, Preshias Harris. Allen also spent one-on-one time with numerous radio programmers, creating liners and giving radio interviews.

'Goddess' Shawna Russell Enchants at CRS-39

For Immediate Release:

'Goddess' Shawna Russell Enchants at CRS-39

Way Out West/Nine North Records Country-Rock Singer/Songwriter Impressed with Her Music, Loveliness, and Gentle Southern Charm During Country Radio's Biggest Event in Nashville Last Week

NASHVILLE, TN (March 10, 2008) – Rising star, Shawna Russell, enchanted radio programmers and media during CRS-39 with her music, loveliness, and gentle Southern charm. Her debut CD, Goddess, released during Country radio's biggest gathering, was heralded as fresh, timely, and the vehicle to launch Oklahoma's latest export to stardom.

Russell flew into town on Tuesday - in between gigs in Oklahoma - and was whisked into several interviews. Then she was off to take in the festivities at Music Row magazine's standing-room-only CountryBreakout™ Meet & Greet/Airplay Awards at the Second Fiddle on Broadway, where without singing a note, Russell stood out in the huge crowd. On Wednesday, she was highlighted in the publication's "Bobby Karl Works the Room" wrap-up of the soirée.

Two days before CRS, Russell's team announced that her label, Way Out West Records, had aligned with Larry Pareigis and Nine North Records. At CRS, the team's decision was made to release the CDs title single "Goddess" to radio in May. Russell also continued her team-building during her time in Nashville, by hiring veteran Music Row business manager, Clyde Bright, of Collinsworth, Bright & Company, to represent her for business management.

By the time of her CD release event on Thursday, the "buzz" about Russell's talents drew a large crowd of some of the top music industry "movers-and-shakers" to a VIP limo chauffeured gathering at Nashville hot-spot, Cadillac Ranch. Russell, a veteran performer - joined by her father, Keith, on guitar, and her uncle, label boss, co-manager, and record producer, Tim Russell, on bass - impressed the gathering with an outstanding set of songs from Goddess. One consistent phrase was heard after the show: "She's a star!"

By the time that she flew back to Oklahoma at 7:00 o'clock on Friday morning - to perform two consecutive nights in Sallisaw - several major booking agencies had booked summer shows for her, and had arranged meetings with her co-manager, Clif Doyal, to represent Russell's live performance career.

After a lifetime dedicated to performing and creating music, Russell's own words in the liner notes from Goddess sum up her feelings about the whirlwind of activities surrounding the recent weeks and of her short time at CRS: "There could be no happier moment in a person's life than the moment that they can see, touch and hear their dreams. For me, this is that moment."

Cheryl K Warner Releases You Just Don't Get It

Wildfire Publicity
Cheryl K Warner Releases "You Just Don't Get It"
Publicity HouseCheryl K Warner has released "You Just Don't Get It", the third single from her upcoming Fantasy cd. "You Just Don't Get It" was written by Jerry Gillespie and Dan Willis and is a bold, upbeat, attitude song about a changed woman.
"As soon as I heard the writers' demo, I wanted to record it," says Cheryl K. "I felt that the lyrics of the song would certainly strike a note with women and that it might possibly enlighten men to appreciate and accept their women just the way they are."

Combining the honesty of her country roots with the heart of gospel and the energy of rock, Cheryl K.'s voice provides a mirror in which her listeners see reflections of their lives and of their dreams. Cheryl K. has a friendly, easy going nature, and a genuine rapport with her fans. If her personality and sunny smile don't warm you all over, her straight-from-the-heart vocals will do the trick.

The Fantasy cd, which includes "Dreams" (the debut single that appeared on the New Music Weekly Indie Top 30 Chart), "It's the Way That You Do It" (the follow-up single), and "You Just Don't Get It", is scheduled for release later this year.

Little Memphis core members Dan LaPorte and Todd LeBlanc have recruited four top-notch Nashville musicians to be a part of the event. Nashville drummer Dave Northrup (Travis Tritt); keyboardist/vocalist Ray Whitlock (Cry Wolf, One Eyed Gypsy); lead guitarist Phillip Osbourne; and rhythm guitarist Jaimie Davis will join Little Memphis for the show at Electra Night Club, 66 Benning Street, West Lebanon, NH beginning at 9PM April 4th. For directions to the venue or more info, please visit http://www.electranightclubs.com.

As a precursor to the CD release, LaPorte and LeBlanc will co-host the KIXX morning show on Friday, March 7th at 7AM. LaPorte and LeBlanc will also sing tunes from the upcoming release during the show which will be simulcast on
http://www.kixx.com.

Strangely enough,
Little Memphis evolved from a band named Dan D and The Burning Love. Dan LaPorte, out of a deep love of Elvis Presley's music, set out with Todd LeBlanc to form the tribute band. While the tribute shows were fun, exciting and truly rewarding, Dan and Todd wanted to push their musical boundaries even further. They began working on recording a project in Northern Vermont. Once the project was done, they began sending it out to various producers around the country.

Shortly thereafter, Dan and Todd received a phone call from Scotty Turner, a well-respected Nashville producer and publisher. Scotty was impressed with the sound of Little Memphis. There began many phone conversations eventually leading to a meeting in Nashville. Scotty presented Dan and Todd with the original material from which they would select their album songs. So in November, 2007, they began recording their first album
Let Me Down Easy produced by Scotty Turner and engineered by George Clinton (Shania Twain, Alabama, Martina McBride) at Bayou Studio in Nashville.

Hank Cochran To Be Inducted into NACMAI Hall of Fame March 16

Hank Cochran Honored By The North American Country Music Associations International On Sunday, March 16

New Hall of Fame Inductee Will Perform At Awards Show In Pigeon Forge, TN

Nashville, TN (March 4, 2008) - Legendary singer/songwriter Hank Cochran will be inducted into the North American Country Music Associations International's Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 16. The awards show, held at the Country Tonite Theater (129 Showplace Blvd., Pigeon Forge), includes an acoustic performance by Hank as well.

The purpose of NACMAI (www.nacmai.org) is to nurture and perpetuate the history of country music, and their mission makes Cochran an obvious choice for this award. "It's truly an honor for me," Cochran says. "I'm very thankful they believe I am worthy."

Cochran epitomizes the goals of the organization; he is one of the true legends of country music, and he continues to work tirelessly at his craft. His songs have ruled the country (and pop) charts since the 1960s - beginning with recordings by artists like Patsy Cline, Ray Price, George Jones and Willie Nelson through to the present, with cuts by George Strait, Lee Ann Womack and Reba McEntire. Songs like "Make The World Go Away," "Ocean Front Property," "Don't You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me" and "The Chair" have emerged from his pen to fill a vast catalog - and his even bigger heart.

This isn't the first honor for this living legend. In 1974, Cochran was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame - and remains the only inductee ever to receive a unanimous vote during the nomination process. He has received over 21 B.M.I. Million-Air awards, including one for over two million plays of Patsy Cline's classic take on "I Fall To Pieces." His own recordings have endured throughout the years, and he is a faithful supporter not only of other recording artists, but of other writers, songwriter festivals and workshops around the globe.

CLAY WALKER NAMED CRB ARTIST HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR

,
CLAY WALKER NAMED CRB ARTIST HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR

(Nashville, TN) Country music star, Clay Walker was honored today by Country Radio Broadcasters as their Artist Humanitarian of the Year during CRS 39. Philanthropy is something that has long been a part of Clay Walker's makeup. Giving back is Clay's way of showing his commitment, compassion and goodwill toward others.

"It's an honor to be chosen by my peers who have watched me grow as an entertainer, but more importantly as a human being," said Clay Walker.

In 1996 Clay was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the leading cause of non-traumatic disability in young people throughout the world; he is currently in remission. In 2003 Clay formed his charity, Band Against MS which is dedicated to funding research, raising awareness and providing education for others battling the disease. To date, BAMS has raised over one million dollars to benefit MS research around the country.

"Being diagnosed with MS hasn't been easy," said Clay. "I choose to view it as a 'bump in the road' rather than a detour, because I have been blessed to still be able to do the things I love. I know not everyone who is diagnosed with MS is that lucky. I want to help them by providing both a resource for information about MS and to take a leadership position in the fight to find a cure for this disease. The Band Against MS Foundation is an extension of these goals."

In addition to BAMS, Clay is an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Charities among many others.

CRB is a pioneer in honoring the humanitarian efforts of country artists within the genre since 1990. Past honorees have included Toby Keith, Diamond Rio, Brad Paisley, Lonestar, Brooks & Dunn, Collin Raye, Clint Black, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Joe Diffie, Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Charlie Daniels, Willie Nelson, Roseanne Cash and Alabama.

Professionally, Clay has just come off his amazing success with the title track off his current album, Fall which became a Top 5 radio hit. His latest single, "She Likes It In The Morning" is currently rising through the country charts as well. For more information on Clay Walker, please visit www.claywalker.com.

BACKGROUND:

Lightning Rod Records will release singer/songwriter James McMurtry's new CD, titled Just Us Kids, on April 15, 2008. McMurtry's ninth album, which features 12 new songs, is a follow-up to 2005's critically acclaimed and award-winning project, Childish Things.

McMurtry has long been known as fine storyteller, but he has lately received nationwide attention for his role as a musical activist. On Just Us Kids, McMurtry picks up where he left off with his controversial anthem "We Can't Make It Here." On "Cheney's Toy," McMurtry once again reminds us that the war in Iraq is still going on, with veiled references to Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib and the stark image of a soldier who returned from the conflict, blind and brain damaged. The lyrics of "God Bless America" call out the corporate profiteering and cronyism of the heads of state who led the country to war. McMurtry's songs introduce the listener to characters that exist on the fringes of society. Drug addicts, murderers, crooked politicians, and other unsavory folks all play a part on Just Us Kids.

The self-produced album shows that McMurtry has developed a skill as producer that matches his songcraft. The songs on Just Us Kids vary widely in texture and instrumentation. The Faces' Ian McLagan's piano playing is all over the album while Timbuk3's pat mAcdonald's harmonica peppers several tracks.
Austin singer/songwriter Jon Dee Graham contributes a wailing guitar solo to "Fireline Road." Grammy-nominated Louisiana rocker, C.C. Adcock, adds a swampy guitar part to the album opener, "Bayou Tortous." The rhythm section is McMurtry's longtime road band, Daren Hess and Ronnie Johnson.

Author Stephen King described Ft. Worth native McMurtry as "the truest, fiercest songwriter of his generation" in Entertainment Weekly. The son of acclaimed author Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove, Terms of Endearment), James grew up on a steady diet of Johnny Cash and Roy Acuff records. His first album, released in 1989, was produced by John Mellencamp and arked the beginning of a series of acclaimed projects for Columbia and Sugar Hill. In 2003,
McMurtry released the universally lauded Live in Aught-Three (Compadre Records). 2005's Childish Things garnered some of the highest critical praise of McMurtry's career and spent six weeks at number one on R&R's Americana Music Radio Chart in 2005 and 2006. In September 2006, Childish Things and "We Can't Make It Here" won the Americana Music Awards for album and song of the year, respectively.

"Huntin' Club Bleep Mix" reprises Jimmy the redneck hunter's mis-guided interpretation of Travis Tritt's "Country Club" which first appeared on BB&J's Posted Places – this time with rib-tickling out-takes of the "producer" bleeping Jimmy's blue la
